Today, October 10, 2013;Vijaya Varusha Purattasi Kettai, is the 634th Thirunakshatram of Srimath Adivan Sathakopa Yathindra Mahadesikan. Six days of celebrations are over. Last evening, Snapan Thirumanjanam was done for Adivan Sathakopan.
Today morning at 6.45 am, Srimath Adivan Sathakopan in Sarvalankaram went in Purappadu. Starting from Sri Ahobila Mutt, which is opposite the vellai (white) gopuram, the procession turned right after accepting ubhayams from devotees and stopped opposite South gopuram that is Ranga Ranga gopuram, then the devotees turned right on West Uthira Veedhi where devotees made their offerings. Then it turned on North Uthira street crossing Swami Desikan’s Thirumaligai and stopped at North Gopuram which is the entry to Thayar sannidhi. Swami Desikan sannidhi is just opposite to Thayar Sannidhi. Many devotees offered their pranamams to the Adi guru at this juncture. At this point the procession turned left and moved towards Dasavatharan Sannidhi.
The procession stopped at Sri Poundrikapuram Ashramam where Srimath Raghuveera Mahadesikan was waiting with shishyas to receive Sathakopa Jeeyar. Adivan Sathakopan was received with Poorna kumbham honours and fruit offerings. Poundrikapuram Swami did Mangalasasanams to Adivan Sathakopa Jeeyar. Andavan Swami was adorned with Adivan Sathakopan’s Tulasi malai and Sri Sathari. The procession then moved to Dasavatharan Sannidhi, stopping at the doorstep of devotees to accept their offerings.
At Dasavatharan Sannidhi, Swami Desikan and Adivan Sathakopar utsavar were readily waiting. Mala maryadhas were offered to Adivan Sathakopan. Satrumurai took place and was followed by Theertham, Sri Sathari and Prasada viniyogam (Ven pongal). The Sripadamthangis got some rest at this juncture. Adivan Sathakopan swami was then taken to the Brindavanam of HH 41st and 44th Srimath Azhagiyasingars and He gave divyakaaksham to the upcoming Brindavan of HH 45th Srimath Azhagiyasingar. The procession moved back to Uthira Veedhi Muth where Harathi was done for Adivan Sathakopa jeer. After this Veda parayanam and Tiruvaymozhi parayanam was done. Vishesha Sattrumurai was done. Theertham, Srisathari was followed by Sripada theertham. The ubhyadars were accorded special honours. Prasadam was Mysore-pak, halwa and pulihore. The devotees were thanked for coming in large numbers and making the celebrations a great success.
Tommorrow is Iyarpa followed by Dolai by Srimath Andavan Ashramam on October 12th, 2013. The concluding day will be Allum Pallakku.
