Purattasi ThiruvoNam marks the avataram (birth) of Sri Srinivasa Perumal and Swamy Nigamantha Maha Desikan. This Mahotsavam is Grandly Celebrated at BHEL (Trichy) Township Srinivasa Perumal Temple. This year, this grand day falls on 13/10/2012, Sunday.
The Annual Mahotsavam, spread over 10 days, to mark the Avataram of the Lord and the Great Acharyan, who is again considered to be another avataram of the Lord of Seven Hills Himself, will be celebrated for ten days with recital of the entire Naalayira Divya Prabandham, Purappadu every day of the Lord and the Acharyan on Garuda, Hamsa, Sesha, Simma, Kudirai, Yanai, Yali and Hanumantha Vahanams. All are invited to participate in this great grand utsavam and get the Blessings of Acharya , Thayar and Perumal .
