Swami Desikan Thirunakshatra Mahotsavam is scheduled to take place in a grand manner at Sri Amaruviappan Thirukkoil, Therazhundur from October 4 to 13, 2013. There will be purappadu for Swami Desikan in various vahanams during the 10-day utsavam.
Alongside, Navarathri Utsavam will be celebrated from October 5 to 14, 2013. On Vijaya Dasami (October 14th, 2013), there will be Kudhirai Vahanam Ambu purappadu. On October 15th, 2013, there will Padithurai purappadu for Perumal and Swami Desikan. This will be followed by Theppotsavam for Perumal and Swami Desikan on October 16th and 17th, 2013 respectively.
Astikas are requested to participate in large numbers in this utsavam.
