With the grace of Sri Mukkur LakshmiNarasimachar swami’s sankalpam, and with the blessings of Sri Mattapallinathan, Sri Yagna Murthy, Sri Nammazhwar and Sri Madurakavi Azhwar, Kanninun Sirutthaambu Japam was started on the 17th of August at Mattapalli Kshetram. This recitation is planned to take place every day until the 18th of September 2013. During this period, the recitation is planned to take place at Mattapalli, Kaakinada and in Chennai. Over all 12,000 times recitation of Kanninun Sirutthaambu is planned, with each day recitation of 128 times in these places.
ஸ்ரீ ஸ்வாமியின் ஸங்கல்ப விஸேஷத்தினால் தொண்ணூற்று ஆறு நாட்களில் (மட்டபல்லி, காக்கிநாடா, சென்னை – மூன்று இடத்திலும், ஒவ்வொரு இடத்திலும் முப்பத்தியிரண்டு நாட்கள் வீதம்) பன்னிரெண்டாயிரம் ஆவர்த்தி கண்ணினுன்சிறுத்தாம்பு ஜபம் – யஜ்ஞமந்த்ர ஜபத்தில் அக்ஷரமாலையில் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நூற்றியிருபத்தியெட்டு ஆவர்த்தி வீதம் – நடைபெற உள்ளது. ஜபத்தில் நம்மாழ்வார் அருளிச்செயல் பாராயணமும் நடைபெறும். ஒவ்வொரு எட்டு நாட்கள் முடிந்தவுடன் ஜபத்தில் ஆவாஹனம் செய்யப்பட்ட கலச தீர்த்தத்தால் திருமஞ்சனம் நடைபெறும். இந்த ஜப மஹோத்ஸவம் மட்டபல்லியில் 17-08-2013 அன்று பானக ஆராதனத்துடன் தொடங்கி 18-09-2013 முடிய நடை பெற உள்ளது. காக்கிநாடா மற்றும் சென்னையில் நடைபெறும் தேதிகள் பின்னர் தெரியப்படுத்தப்படும். அனைவரும் இந்த ஜப மஹோத்ஸவத்தில் பங்கு பெற்று ஸ்ரீ மட்டபல்லிநாதன், ஸ்ரீ யஜ்ஞமூர்த்தி, ஸ்ரீ நம்மாழ்வார், ஸ்ரீ மதுரகவி ஆழ்வார், ஸ்ரீ ஸ்வாமி ஆகியோரின் பரிபூர்ண கடாக்ஷத்திற்கு பாத்திரதாரர்கள் ஆகும்படிப் ப்ரார்த்திக்கிறோம்.
During Day 06 of the Japam (23rd August 2013) – Japam started off at 9:00 AM with Aavaahanam followed by Yagna Manthra Japam with Kanninun Sirutthaambu paaraayanam as a part of Aksharamaala. In the evening during Saatrumurai, paasurams 25 to 48 from Sri Nammazhwaar’s PeriaThiruvanthaathi were recited.
On, Day 07 (24th August 2013) – Like the earlier day, Japam started off at 9:00 AM. In the evening during Saatrumurai, paasurams 49 to 72 from Sri Nammazhwaar’s PeriaThiruvanthaathi were recited. On, Day 08 (25th August 2013) – Japam started off at about 9:00 AM and was completed at about 1:00 PM. With this an intermediate milestone of 1024 aavarthis of Kanninun Sirutthaambu Paarayana Japam was reached.
After this, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM thirumanjanam for Sri Yagnamurthy, Sri Saalagramaa Murthys, Sri Sudarsanar, Sri Nammaazhwaar, Sri Thirumangai Mannan, Sri Ramanujar, Sri Desikan, Sri Adivan Satakopar and Sri Swamy took place with the water from the 10 kalasams (for which Japam was taking place for the last 8 days) in addition to other usual thirumanjan diraviyams. A mini ababhratham was also done. Sri Govindarajan Swami performed Garuda Seva for Sri Mattapallinathan in the evening. In the evening during Saatrumurai, paasurams 73 to 87 from Sri Nammazhwaar’s PeriaThiruvanthaathi were recited.
Many of the devotees planning to attend the Japam but have not firmed up the plans due to travel uncertainties one hears about the strike (particularly bus services) in Andhra. The following plans and options can be used to reach Mattapalli:
1. Mattapalli is within the proposed Telengana along with major towns like Kodad, Khammam, Huzurnagar, Miriyalguda and Hyderabad City.
2. There is no strike in this region and consequently travel between these places is not disturbed including bus services.
3. APSRTC buses are not plying between Vijayawada and Kodad. However there are private buses and shared taxi services available in addition to usual taxis.
4. An alternate route could be to reach Khammam by train – there are direct trains from Chennai like GT, Navjeevan, Raptisaagar, Charminar. Number of local connecting trains from Vijayawada to Khammam are also available if you travel to Vijayawada by some other train. From Khammam you can reach Kodad by bus and from there reach Mattapalli as usual.
