Today Vijaya Varsham Aadi Ashwini, HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar, Srimathe Srivan Sathakopa Sri Ranganatha Yatindra Mahadesikan is observing the 8th day of Chaturmasya Sankalpam. At about 6.45 am, Tavil, Nadhaswaram and Thiruchinnam players were ready in front of Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s ashram, waiting for the signal to start playing. Once they got the signal, the morning raga started. After Anushtanam, Srimath Azhagiyasingar came out of the ashram. Devotees offered Dandavath pranams. Can there be a better way to start the day? Srimath Azhagiyasingar resplendent with Sri Tridandam was accompanied by kainkaryaparas carrying the decorated umbrella, Chamarams, water kamandalam and the silver dhandam used as a barrier between Azhagiyasingar and devotees. Devotees need to be vigilant and careful to ensure that they do not touch the acharya or kainkaryaparas or the mandapam housing perumal.
Srimath Azhagiyasingar stopped at the entrance of the sathabisheka mandapam where His feet were washed. Devotees got sprinkles of this Sri Padatheertham. The elephant, cow and calf were ready after bath for Vishvaroopam. Sumangalis offered manjal-kumkum at the back of the cow and did pradakshinam. While the elephant stood facing the mandapam, the cow showed her back. Mahalakshmi and 33 crores of devathas reside on the prishtam (back) of a cow.
Srimath Azhagiyasingar went behind the curtain to wake up Sri Malolan and other deities who were in yoga nidrai in the Swarna mandapam. When the signal to start was given, the Suprabatham composed by HH 30th Srimath Azhagiyasingar began. “Lakshmi Nrikesari vibho thava suprabatham” filled the air. Milk was offered to the deities and given as prasadam. This was followed by panchaka patanam and Abhigamanam. Theertham, shatari was followed by prasada viniyogam. Today the prasadam was dadiyonam. Also fruits were cut and offered to Malolan and distributed to devotees. After doing dandavath pranams, devotees made their offerings and were blessed with mantrakshatai. Azhagiyasingar did samashrayanam and mantropadesam to shisyas. It was a fulfilling morning for shisyas who got the darsanam of Srimath Azhagiyasingar and Malolan as also the darshan of Dasavatharas, and HH 41st, 44th and 45th Srimath Azhagiyasingars at their respective Brindavanams.
