இரட்டைக்குழந்தைகளுக்கு “யமளோத்பவர்கள்“ என்று பெயர். இவர்களுக்கு ஜாதகர்மாவிலிருந்து உபநயனம் (பூணுால்) வரையில் ஒரே லக்னத்தில் ஒரே வேதியில் ஒரே ஆச்சார்யனால் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும். இரண்டுமே பிள்ளையானாலும், பெண் ஆனாலும் அல்லது ஒருவர் பெண் மற்றொருவர் ஆணாகயிருந்தாலும் வைதீககார்யங்கள் உபநயனம் முடிய ஒரே ஆச்சார்யன், ஒரே வேதிகை மற்றும் ஒரே லக்னத்தில் செய்யவேண்டும்.
கல்யாணம் செய்து கொடுக்க அதிகாரமுள்ளவர்கள்..!
1) தகப்பனார் 2) பிதாமஹர் (அப்பா வழி தாத்தா) 3)ஸஹோதரன் 4) தகப்பனார் கூடப்பிறந்தவர்கள் 5)அம்மா வழி தாத்தா 6) தாய்மாமா – இவர்கள் யாருமே இல்லாவிடின் அதே கோத்ரத்தினையோ அல்லது அதே சூத்ரத்தினைச் சார்ந்தவர்களோ செய்து கொடுக்கலாம்.
ரோகமுள்ளவர்கள் (வியாதியஸ்தர்கள்) மற்றும் மனநிலை சரியில்லாதவர்கள் ஆகியோரைக் கொண்டு செய்யலாகாது.
முதலில் பிறந்த குழந்தைக்கு சீமந்த புத்ரன் அல்லது பெண்ணாகயிருப்பின் சீமந்த புத்ரி என்று பெயர். இவர்களுக்கு ஆனி மாதத்திலும், இவர்கள் பிறந்த அதே தமிழ் மாதத்திலும் (ஜன்ம மாதம்), ஜந்ம திதி, ஜந்ம நட்சத்திரம் ஆகியவற்றில் சுபமுகூர்த்தங்கள் செய்யக்கூடாது.
விஷ்ணு சயன காலம் ஆஷாட (ஆடி) சுத்தி ஏகாதசி முதல் கார்த்திகை சுத்தி ஏகாதசி வரை, அதாவது, சயன ஏகாதசி முதல் உத்தான ஏகாதசி வரையில் உபநயனம் மற்றும் விவாஹம் செய்யக்கூடாது.
அந்தந்த ஊர்களில் உள்ள பெருமாளுக்கு உத்ஸவம் நடக்கும்போதும் விவாஹம் தவிர்ப்பது நலம். உத்ஸவம் முடிந்தபிறகு செய்வது சுபம்.
ஒருவனுக்கே இரண்டு பெண்களையும் விவாஹம் செய்து கொடுக்கக்கூடாது.
ஒருவனுடைய இரண்டு பிள்ளைகளுக்கு மற்றொருவருடைய இரண்டு கன்னிகைகளையும் விவாஹம் செய்தல் ஆகாது.

Twins are called “Yamalodhabhavargal”.Right from Jadakrama till upanayanam should be done in same laganam,same vediyal,same Acharyan for them.Even if both are sons or one is son other daughter or both are daughters till vaidiyigakaryangal,upanayanam completes should be same AchAryan,Same Vedikai
Who have the rights to conduct a marriage: 1. Father 2.Pithamahar(father’s side grandfather) 3.Brother 4.Fathers sibilings 5.Mother’s side grandfather 6.Mother’s mother- if no one is there then person from same gothram or same suthrathin can conduct the marriage
Sick & mentally not sound people should not do
First born child is called as seemantha puthran or seemantha puthri .For them one shouldn’t do any subakariyangal in month of Aani,their birth month ,birth thithi,birth nakshaktram
Vishnu sayana kalam ie from Aadi ekadesi till ekadesi that comes around in Karthigai that is from sayana ekadesi till uddan ekadesi upanayanam & marriage should not be done
It is advisable not to conduct mariage during utsavam of perumal in that place.Once utsavam is completed it can be done.
To the same person both the daughters should not be married
Marriage should not be done for both the sons with both the sisters of a family.
