Thirukarthigai was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Vaikuntanathji Mandir, New Delhi today (November 28, 2012). Bhaktas lighted several agal villakku (diyas) in the temple. Ranganathar along with His Ubhaya Nachiyars had purappadu around the koil prakaram and witnessed the burning of the SokkapAnai which was built out of dried leaves in the open space in front the temple.
