Karimaran kalai kaapakam sponsored pavithrothsavam started at Thiruppullani with anugnai on 12-8-2012. On the first day evening of the pavithrothsavam, Sri Kalyana Jagannaatha Perumal with Pirattimar had a thiru veethi purappadu. This year the enthusiastic bhagavathas who visited had the purappadu on the Car Streets also
Perumal would have enjoyed the Aruli cheyal ghoshti that preceeded Him during purappadu. Azhwar said He is Thennan Tamizh. But of late, only when this pavithrothsavam is performed He is able to listen to this amutha Tamizh.
Since this was a sudden decision, Devasthanam authorities could not arrange for enough lighting arrangements.The poornahuthi will take place on Wednesday.
