Brahmotsavam at Thirukkoshtiyur started on the 25th of April 2012 and concludes on the 5th of May 2012.
This Divya Desam has a ‘Three Tier Ashtanga Vimana’ and is the avathara Sthalam of Thirukkoshtiyur Nambi. Located 8kms South West of Tirupattur on the Siva Ganga Highway is the Sowmyanarayana Divya Desam in Thirukkoshtiyur , a temple that finds a reference in the Brahmanda Purana. Lord Sheerabdhi Nathan, who had come here from Thiru Parkadal on the request of the Devas, is seen in a Bhujanga Sayana Posture at this temple. This is the place where Ramanuja met Thirukkoshtiyur Nambi on his 18th trip from Srirangam.

Auto will charge anything Rs.80-100 for a one way drop from Tirupattur to Thirukkoshtiyur .
