Annual Brahmotsavam at Thirukurungudi concluded recently and here are some of the glimpse of the Utsavam.
About the temple:
Thirukurungudi is a Divyadesam of 5 temples. There are 5 temples and 5 nambhis in Thirukurungudi. While 5 Nambhis are in 3 temples (Thirukurungudi, ThiruParkadal Nambhi, Malaimel Nambhi temple), the other 2 temples are also very significant. These 2 temples are Thiruvattaparai and Thirumangai Alwar Thiruvarasu. There is a sannadhi for Sri Manavaala Maamuni. Kaisika Natakam is performed every year on Kaisiaka Ekaadasi. The story of Nambaaduvan, a devotee who was asked by a rakshasan to give him the fruits of his punyam is enacted.
