Construction of Rajagopuram in Sri Venkata Varada Perumal temple – Paruthipattu

The construction of Rajagopuram is in progress at Sri Venkata Varada Perumal temple, Agraharam Street, Paruthipattu. The estimate is Rs. 26 lakhs and it can be completed only with the help of philanthropists and contributions from devotees, according to the renovation committee.

Being the birth place of the 43rd Jeer of Ahobila Math, the village and the temple has thrived on the benevolence of devotees. The temple was renovated in 1996. Later a shrine for Thayar was added. A large mantapam was constructed where festivals are held. There are shrines for Sudarshana, Anjaneya, Narasimha and so on at the temple whose deity is believed to be a combination of Tirupati Venkatachalapti and Kanchipuram Varadaraja.
